Clearwater Beach Pier

The Pier at Clearwater Beach has become one of the most popular attractions during the day or evening over recent years.  The city has spent a lot of time renovating this area to attract locals and visitors alike.  Located in the center of the beach parallel to the roundabout after coming off the Clearwater Causeway, it is in the perfect location.  It has activities for the very young who want to run and play, to older individuals who just want to relax and unwind. There is a new children's playground that is covered with shade to shield them from the sun as they play.  With two climbing structures, swings and a giant sandbox kids will want to play for hours.  Also at the pier are three inflatable toys that are available for a small cost.  There is a water slide, two regular slides and a large bounce house for hours of fun.

Also located in this location is an amphitheatre for music concerts and other city sponsored events.  At the center of this area is a building that houses a restaurant, bathrooms, and a shopping store that focus's on selling sunscreen, sand toys and beach towels in case you forgot any necessities.

The Pier is a great place to fish from during the day, but at night it comes alive.  Magicians, balloon artists, illusionists and street performers come out to dazzle you and provide great entertainment.  At the beginning of the pier you can walk along and see artists and crafters who have items on display such as paintings, pottery, custom jewelry or hand blown glass.  You can find the perfect memento from your trip, souvenirs for loved ones or something special for yourself.

The Pier is a great place to listen to the waves crash at night or the sounds of steel drum bands and other musicians.  Have dinner at a local restaurant and then stroll over for some live entertainment.  People gather here daily or nightly and never leave disappointed.  It's casual and fun in a great beachfront atmosphere.
